TO: Congratulations! For those who are not very sure what it is, can you explain what ISO 27001 is and why it is so strategic for a company like MASLO?
C : Of course. The ISO 27001 standard is the international reference for information security management systems. (FRIENDS). For MASLO, whose core business is based on the collection and processing of data in the context of challenges, obtaining this certification demonstrates our commitment at the highest level to the protection of this information. It is an approach that involves setting up a formal framework, with a clear security policy, measurable objectives and rigorous risk management.
TO: Obtaining such certification is generally not a simple formality. Must this have been a significant investment for MASLO?
C : Indeed, it is a significant commitment, the result of intense collective work and an essential milestone in our development. Achieving ISO 27001 compliance requires resources, time and significant team mobilization, especially for the implementation of processes, documentation and audits. But it is an investment that we consider essential to guarantee the robustness of our operations and the trust of our customers.
TO: Concretely, what are the advantages of this certification for MASLO internally, beyond recognition?
C : Internally, the ISO 27001 standard pushes us to continuous improvement almost permanent. It structures our approach to risk management, requiring us to systematically identify, assess, and address threats and vulnerabilities, especially those related to business challenge data. This results in optimized processes, improved operational efficiency, and a strengthened safety culture across the organization. The continuous training of our teams on these subjects is also a pillar of this approach.
TO: And for MASLO customers, what is the direct impact of this certification? What does that mean for them in concrete terms?
C : The impact for our customers is considerable. First of all, it is a guarantee of reinforced trust and assurance. They have the guarantee that the personal and strategic data collected during their commercial challenges will be protected according to recognized international standards. This means increased transparency about our security practices and a serious commitment on our part to the protection of their sensitive information. Second, it facilitates their own regulatory compliance, especially with the GDPR, and can even accelerate their sales cycle by eliminating data security objections.
TO: So that also means a competitive advantage for MASLO in the gamification market?
C : Undeniably. In a sector where data is central, being ISO 27001 certified differentiates us. That gives us a significant competitive advantage and the possibility of accessing more regulated markets or with very high security requirements. It is also a strong signal for our prospects: they know that by choosing MASLO, they are opting for a partner who takes the security of their information seriously.
TO: You have always claimed a pioneering spirit at MASLO. Is this certification in line with this tradition?
C : Absolutely. Being a pioneer is not only innovating in terms of functionalities or user experience on our platform. It also means being at the forefront of substantive topics such as security and compliance. For a company that manages more than 100,000 users and collaborates with SMEs as well as large groups, being irreproachable is an objective that we take very seriously. This certification reinforces our leading position.
TO: Does this continuous improvement process that you mention mean that ISO 27001 certification is not an end in itself?
C : Absolutely not. First, because obtaining the ISO 27001 standard involves constant monitoring and regular audits to maintain certification. It's a long-term commitment. This step is part of a long-term vision, with numerous other developments planned to continue offering the best level of service and safety. We have a clear course, and we are giving ourselves the means to reach and exceed it.
TO: To conclude, what main message do you want to send to our customers and partners following this certification?
C : That their trust is our priority. Obtaining this ISO 27001 certification is tangible proof of our commitment to protecting their data and providing them with a secure environment for their business challenges. It's a collective success for the whole MASLO team, and we are proud to be able to share the benefits of this approach with our entire ecosystem. It is a further demonstration of our desire to build solid and lasting relationships based on excellence and reliability.
TO: Thank you Christophe for these very clear explanations and congratulations to the whole MASLO team for this great success.
C : Thank you Arnaud.
Some reference points on the ISO 27001 standard
The ISO 27001 standard is the most recognized international reference for information security management.
- Main objective : to help organizations protect their information in a systematic and rigorous manner, ensuring its confidentiality, integrity and availability.
- Global approach : it is not limited to computer security, but covers all types of information (digital, paper, etc.) and all business processes.
- Management System (SMSI)): it requires the establishment of an Information Security Management System, i.e. a structured framework of policies, procedures and controls to manage risks.
- Risk Management : a continuous assessment of information risks is at the heart of the standard, making it possible to identify threats and implement appropriate protection measures.
- Continuous improvement : certification is not a definitive achievement. The standard encourages a process of continuous improvement, with regular audits to ensure that the level of security is maintained and evolved.
- International recognition : being ISO 27001 certified is a globally recognized guarantee of seriousness and trust, facilitating relationships with customers and partners.
